Epicuts is a video ad studio based in Slovenia, in the European Union. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it and the rights you have under the GDPR.
Who is responsible for your data
EPICUTS, Nik Grmek s.p., Iška vas 72, 1292 Ig, Slovenia (tax number 26889404), is the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us about anything privacy-related at hey@epicuts.com.
What we collect
When you email us, message us on WhatsApp or book a call, we receive what you send: usually your name, email address, company and message.
When you become a client, we also process the details needed to run the work and bill you, such as billing information and the material you share on your Trello board.
Our hosting provider records basic technical data for every request, such as your IP address, browser and the page you asked for. We use it only to keep the site secure and running. We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies.
Why we use it
To reply to your questions and book calls (our legitimate interest, or steps you ask for before a contract).
To deliver your ads and send invoices (performance of our contract with you).
To meet our accounting and tax obligations (legal obligation).
Who we share it with
We never sell your data. We share it only with the services we need to run Epicuts: website hosting (Vercel), media storage and delivery (Cloudflare), email (Namecheap), project management (Trello and Fibery), file sharing and review (Google Drive, Dropbox and Frame.io), messaging (WhatsApp) and payments (Stripe, or your bank when you pay by transfer).
Some of them process data outside the EU. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Messages from people who don’t become clients are deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for as long as we work together, and invoices for as long as Slovenian law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw any consent you gave. Email hey@epicuts.com and we’ll reply within 30 days.
You can also lodge a complaint with the Slovenian data protection authority, the Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec), or the authority in your own EU country.
